Hi! I’m Pam and I am so glad you are here.
Thanks for taking a few minutes to get to know me.
I’m a Christian on a journey. I have good days and no so good days, good attributes and not so good ones. I have struggles and triumphs.
I’m a recovering perfectionist emerging from burnout. After trying to juggle a corporate job, seminary, ministry, and taking care of my home for several years, I was exhausted, very overweight, and lacking joy and hope. Fortunately, God allowed me to reach a breaking point so I could see what that lifestyle was doing to me.
With God’s help, I’m shedding the excess weight, the need to be perfect, and the crammed calendar (well, part of it, anyway). I’ve found my way back and am rediscovering my passions in life.
What are those passions? I love Jesus. I love to write, read, and study. I enjoy spending time with my family, taking pictures, and traveling. I love the church, the body of Christ, in all its many forms.
While I’m sure that the details vary, I imagine that we share a lot in common. Now that you know a little about me, why not leave a comment, so I can get to know you? I’d love to hear about your journey and to travel with you here.
Hey Pam,
Great blog post. Glad to see you are writing again. I will follow you this holy week. I post links to my blogspot of facebook, too. Do you think you will be coming to our homecoming CAG meeting (Sat. morning) on May 1st? I hope so. We have a great speaker schedule and it will be our first view of our latest book, America Remembered. Are you in it?
I love your blog!
Oh! That perfectionism. It has plagued me, too. Not sure I’m fully recovered. Will always be making progress away from it!
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Janis
