Heavenly Father, my Jehovah Jireh, my God who provides,
You provide for all my needs according to your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. You satisfy my needs in difficult times. You know what I need. You knew me before you formed me in the womb. You know my thoughts.
Though you know my needs, You invite me to ask for what I need. You tell me to present all my requests to you. When I lift my needs up to you and leave them with you in faith that you will answer, you will give me your peace, the peace which transcends all understanding to guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.
You are capable of meeting all of my needs, my God. You created the universe simply by your spoken word. You created all from nothing and sustain it for all time. You are able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine according to your power that is at work within me.
Your heart is so full of love for me that you want to meet all my needs. You want to throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that I will not be able to contain it all. You sent your Son so that I might have abundant life in him. How much more you want to give me even than my earthly father who loved me greatly and gave me much!
You hear me, O LORD. Before I call you answer; while I am still speaking you hear. You who implanted my ears hear! You who formed my eyes see! Your eyes are on me and your ears are attentive to my prayers. You will answer my prayers. I have only to call on you and you will tell me great and unsearchable things that I do not know.
Oh, my heavenly Father, of all the gifts you have given me to satisfy my needs, the gift of my Savior is the most precious of all. You sent your only Son to die for me, before I was even born, so that I might spend eternity with you and not perish. Because of your great love for me, you made me alive with Christ, even when I was dead in my transgressions. How great is the love that you have lavished on me!
I need you, Father God. Though I often act as if I am in control and as if I can earn all the things I need, I know that this is not truth. I confess this as sin. I cannot earn even all the material things I need, not to mention meeting my far greater spiritual needs. Forgive my pride and my dependance on myself and teach me to trust you at all times, to rely on you and not myself, and to be filled with gratitude for your provision. Give me opportunities, courage, and presence of mind, Lord, to tell others about your provision in my life that you might be glorified and that others might learn of your faithfulness.
You provide for me, my Abba Father. Nothing I have comes by my hand. Every good and perfect gift comes from you. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what you have prepared for those who love you. I will bow down and worship you and kneel before you. I will be your witness that you are God. My tongue shall confess that you are my God, My Father, my Jehovah-jireh.
